Though all the earth would gazeIn awe of her beauty

She’d hide behind the clouds

And when morning would come

She felt relieved to be out of sight once again

But every night shed light the sky

Moving only as fast as God allowed

Shed try to hide amongst the stars

What a breath taking sight

Yet shed try not to breathe

Scared to be seen but Adored by all

The poor moon saw only her flaws

Nonetheless she still shines as brightly

Saddened in her fullness

Relieved when at her crescent

Each dark night

She battles herself

Knowing the pain of her sadness

She remains a hard unlearned lesson
